House Of Horrors
This book was quite the page turner for me, I could not put it down. The time jumps are fast and a little confusing at first, but I think that added to the what is going to happen next excitement. Unfortunately, for me, the ending was completely underwhelming. There was no big twist or even happy ending, the one twist was predictable. It leaves a sad taste in my mouth considering how much I was enjoying it.
Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust
I was worried the writing would be more juvenile than I remember just by taking in the fact it was written for a younger audience. Thankfully, I was entirely wrong. Were there a few moments? Sure. This story was still written in a way anyone could read it and was just as enjoyable as the first time.
When Plans Don’t Go As Planned
The Dating Plan by Sara Desai was a very pleasant surprise. This book was such a nice way to warm up this January. This wasn’t just a nice heartwarming romcom, but the sex scenes were HOT. I had no idea the detail we would be getting into here, but just bravo.
What Would You Do?
Let me start out by saying Iris, our main character, was a very unlikeable character for me. She is obsessed with her sister and harps on her unnoticeable differences between them. She thinks her sister, who is her mirror twin, is somehow prettier and better than her.
Dream Come True?
Our character Jules finds herself with a job of a lifetime. She gets paid to live in a beautiful apartment right on Central Park. This beautiful and historic building draws her in, and she feels like she is in a dream. What Jules doesn’t know is she willingly walked into a nightmare.
Are You On The List?
It starts off with a slow build, just teasing you with breadcrumbs to keep you trekking along. Until you finally reach a twist and it snowballs down a mountain. It will have you picking your jaw up off the floor just to have you drop it all over again.
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
This book really starts out with a bang and just keeps rolling. Laura “Lo” Blacklock wakes up in her apartment to an intruder who locks her in her room and steals a few of her belongings. A few days later Lo is set to go on a cruise on the Aurora for her job asContinue reading “The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware”
The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
Quite honestly, I had no idea what I was getting into with this book. I thought it was just another run of the mill thriller, but in all actuality, it is so much more sinister. This book is about a family consisting of a mom, dad, daughter, and son. The parents live a lavish lifestyleContinue reading “The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell”
Is A Book Subscription Worth It?
I have always had a hard time picking what to read next, call it indecisiveness or just plain picky. I walk around bookstores and read the back of what feels like hundreds of books and still have a hard time choosing. Then I joined a book subscription where you get a certain amount of choicesContinue reading “Is A Book Subscription Worth It?”
