House Of Horrors

This book was quite the page turner for me, I could not put it down. The time jumps are fast and a little confusing at first, but I think that added to the what is going to happen next excitement. Unfortunately, for me, the ending was completely underwhelming. There was no big twist or even happy ending, the one twist was predictable. It leaves a sad taste in my mouth considering how much I was enjoying it.

When Plans Don’t Go As Planned

The Dating Plan by Sara Desai was a very pleasant surprise. This book was such a nice way to warm up this January. This wasn’t just a nice heartwarming romcom, but the sex scenes were HOT. I had no idea the detail we would be getting into here, but just bravo.

Here’s To 2021

This was a great book to end my year on and I was excited to have an on-theme book for New Years. We have all had a long journey this year and sometimes a story of hope for love, work, and self-growth is exactly what we need to move into 2021.

What If?

This is a story about hope and rebuilding when you think your life has gone to shit. Hannah’s life in both scenarios has gone places she never expected and has been ruined in ways she couldn’t have imagined, but she picks herself up. It feels like a love story at first, but it really ends up as a hopeful tale of how your life will work out no matter how horrible it may seem right now and that somethings in your life are just destined to happen. That there is more than one soulmate for everyone and sometimes it’s the person that just falls into your life at the right time.

Dream Come True?

Our character Jules finds herself with a job of a lifetime. She gets paid to live in a beautiful apartment right on Central Park. This beautiful and historic building draws her in, and she feels like she is in a dream. What Jules doesn’t know is she willingly walked into a nightmare.

Why Won’t She Talk?

“We’re all crazy, I believe, just in different ways.” Find out how Theo dealt with his demons and how he uses that to help people with theirs.

Sex, Drugs, and Rock’n’Roll?

This story takes you for a wild ride. Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid has been a book that I kept putting off because the format was intimidating to me. I was so sure I wasn’t going to like it that I kept waiting to read it. Well I FINALLY read it and now I’m soContinue reading “Sex, Drugs, and Rock’n’Roll?”

Do You Believe The Hype?

I certainly try not to. I avoid books that are what everyone is reading at the time and say is amazing. I have always found when I feed into the hype, I end up disappointed. That being said I am happy I finally read Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. The details of the marsh inContinue reading “Do You Believe The Hype?”

The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

Quite honestly, I had no idea what I was getting into with this book. I thought it was just another run of the mill thriller, but in all actuality, it is so much more sinister. This book is about a family consisting of a mom, dad, daughter, and son. The parents live a lavish lifestyleContinue reading “The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell”

Is A Book Subscription Worth It?

I have always had a hard time picking what to read next, call it indecisiveness or just plain picky. I walk around bookstores and read the back of what feels like hundreds of books and still have a hard time choosing. Then I joined a book subscription where you get a certain amount of choicesContinue reading “Is A Book Subscription Worth It?”
