When Was The Last Time You Were Happy?

Poppy has her dream job, apartment, and life, but now that she has it all she’s still feels unfulfilled, and she is determined to find out why. When she realizes the last time, she was truly happy, Alex was inter life. I honestly sat there thinking these two are idiots just be together! Their chemistry is undeniable, and the time jumps make you want them together that much more. I am so happy I picked this book up and it has satisfied my need for a good romcom book. This is a great read for your summer vacation!

Don’t Jump To Conclusions

Elin is working against the killer, time, and her own personal issues in order to find the truth. You will guess who did it, and you will continue to change your mind throughout the book. This is a thriller that gives you some chills and will make you wary of secluded hotels. This is a whodunnit read that will keep throwing curveballs at you. If you are in the mood for thrills and chills pick up this book.

What Would You Do?

Let me start out by saying Iris, our main character, was a very unlikeable character for me. She is obsessed with her sister and harps on her unnoticeable differences between them. She thinks her sister, who is her mirror twin, is somehow prettier and better than her.

Here’s To 2021

This was a great book to end my year on and I was excited to have an on-theme book for New Years. We have all had a long journey this year and sometimes a story of hope for love, work, and self-growth is exactly what we need to move into 2021.

Who Can You Trust?

This story has you believing one thing and then throws a curveball to make you completely suspicious of something else. I am so excited I was able to read an advanced copy of this book. It kept me on my toes and had my mind whirling the entire time trying to pinpoint the blame on someone. Before I knew it, I was finished the book and could not guess the ending. As a thriller enthusiast, not being able to guess the ending was infuriating, while being completely refreshing.

What You Don’t See

This is somewhat feel-good story that gives a little insight into mental health. It really shows how some people struggle so silently and some people are just quick to judge or dismiss them. As someone in the mental health field myself it was nice to read about it and hopefully this can help people be more aware of what is around them. Lana Grace Riva is a talented writer that makes a simple story into a captivating one.

What If?

This is a story about hope and rebuilding when you think your life has gone to shit. Hannah’s life in both scenarios has gone places she never expected and has been ruined in ways she couldn’t have imagined, but she picks herself up. It feels like a love story at first, but it really ends up as a hopeful tale of how your life will work out no matter how horrible it may seem right now and that somethings in your life are just destined to happen. That there is more than one soulmate for everyone and sometimes it’s the person that just falls into your life at the right time.

Dream Come True?

Our character Jules finds herself with a job of a lifetime. She gets paid to live in a beautiful apartment right on Central Park. This beautiful and historic building draws her in, and she feels like she is in a dream. What Jules doesn’t know is she willingly walked into a nightmare.

Falling For Evelyn Hugo

I am so happy that I read this book. I absolutely love the character of Evelyn Hugo. This story is so captivating you will feel like you’re right there going through Evelyn’s life with her. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid was the happiest surprise I have received all year. IContinue reading “Falling For Evelyn Hugo”
