This book was quite the page turner for me, I could not put it down. The time jumps are fast and a little confusing at first, but I think that added to the what is going to happen next excitement. Unfortunately, for me, the ending was completely underwhelming. There was no big twist or even happy ending, the one twist was predictable. It leaves a sad taste in my mouth considering how much I was enjoying it.

How Does The Other Half Live
This story is so intricately told that no synopsis will do it justice. There is so many little details that make this story up and how everything builds. Their lives are all complicated and it feels like you have read every part of those lives. I really enjoyed how this story was compiled with a nonlinear timeline, but it was still incredibly easy to follow. Every character had stories that made them enjoyable and relate-able in some way to everyone. This was a great book to read during Black History Month and there are lessons inside for everyone. Although it took me longer to get hooked than I would have liked, I did really like this book.
When Plans Don’t Go As Planned
The Dating Plan by Sara Desai was a very pleasant surprise. This book was such a nice way to warm up this January. This wasn’t just a nice heartwarming romcom, but the sex scenes were HOT. I had no idea the detail we would be getting into here, but just bravo.
What Would You Do?
Let me start out by saying Iris, our main character, was a very unlikeable character for me. She is obsessed with her sister and harps on her unnoticeable differences between them. She thinks her sister, who is her mirror twin, is somehow prettier and better than her.
Here’s To 2021
This was a great book to end my year on and I was excited to have an on-theme book for New Years. We have all had a long journey this year and sometimes a story of hope for love, work, and self-growth is exactly what we need to move into 2021.
Who Can You Trust?
This story has you believing one thing and then throws a curveball to make you completely suspicious of something else. I am so excited I was able to read an advanced copy of this book. It kept me on my toes and had my mind whirling the entire time trying to pinpoint the blame on someone. Before I knew it, I was finished the book and could not guess the ending. As a thriller enthusiast, not being able to guess the ending was infuriating, while being completely refreshing.
