Can You Unravel the Past?

Have you ever read a book and just thought “wow that was weird,” but in a good way? Well, None of This is True by Lisa Jewell will definitely have you thinking just that. As someone who loves thriller and mystery, I can usually say I am pretty good at guessing endings to books like just this. This story unfolds in such a way it feels like you don’t know what way is up and what way is down. You will guess and maybe part of it will be right, but I am still wondering what the truth is.

A Court of?

So, after getting told repeatedly, I finally read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I mean wow I flew through this book, I could not put it down. Along the same lines, I couldn’t put the whole series down, but to avoid spoilers I will talk mostly of book one. There is no way I could encompass the greatness of this series in one review or even multiple, so please know there is so much more than just what I’m about to write.

When Was The Last Time You Were Happy?

Poppy has her dream job, apartment, and life, but now that she has it all she’s still feels unfulfilled, and she is determined to find out why. When she realizes the last time, she was truly happy, Alex was inter life. I honestly sat there thinking these two are idiots just be together! Their chemistry is undeniable, and the time jumps make you want them together that much more. I am so happy I picked this book up and it has satisfied my need for a good romcom book. This is a great read for your summer vacation!

How To Grow

Most importantly she learns that forgiveness isn’t just something we give to other people, but we give to ourselves. This book was a great uplifting story about hope. Hope to move on when bad things happen to you and hope to grow because of these things. You can go numb, you can keep people at a distance, but life will always fight its way back in.

Summer Reading Slump

If you don’t have plans all the time, you feel like you’re wasting your summer. Where I live summer is short, so I try to make sure I get as many summer activities I can as possible. Obviously, that doesn’t sound like there is a lot of time for reading. So what do I do when I feel like I’m slacking on my reading during these fun months?

Falling For Evelyn Hugo

I am so happy that I read this book. I absolutely love the character of Evelyn Hugo. This story is so captivating you will feel like you’re right there going through Evelyn’s life with her. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid was the happiest surprise I have received all year. IContinue reading “Falling For Evelyn Hugo”

Why Won’t She Talk?

“We’re all crazy, I believe, just in different ways.” Find out how Theo dealt with his demons and how he uses that to help people with theirs.

Sex, Drugs, and Rock’n’Roll?

This story takes you for a wild ride. Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid has been a book that I kept putting off because the format was intimidating to me. I was so sure I wasn’t going to like it that I kept waiting to read it. Well I FINALLY read it and now I’m soContinue reading “Sex, Drugs, and Rock’n’Roll?”

What Happened In That House?

I can say the ghost story within this book will make you feel like you see something out of the corner of your eye constantly and make you scared to look under the bed. This book makes your goose bumps rise all over. I felt like I was hearing noises in my own house. This book delivers.

Do You Believe The Hype?

I certainly try not to. I avoid books that are what everyone is reading at the time and say is amazing. I have always found when I feed into the hype, I end up disappointed. That being said I am happy I finally read Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. The details of the marsh inContinue reading “Do You Believe The Hype?”
